The objective of one the investigations we were commissioned recently, was to verify the economic, financial and reputational situation of a potential supplier of one of our clients.The objective of one the investigations we were commissioned recently, was to verify the economic, financial and reputational situation of a potential supplier of one of our clients.

The company under investigation did not appear to have any problem either from a financial or reputational point of view, but it was nevertheless a young company and therefore with only a few years of experience.

However, from the research carried out it emerged that it had taken over a branch of another company in the same field, which have been on the market for much longer, which was in a financial crisis and whose owner was under investigation for tax evasion.

Well after several checks, it was found that behind the new company there was the owner of the old bankrupt company that, by illegally using the names of former employees, continued to manage the new company.

As a result, although the offer was economically very advantageous, our client decided to decline the offer and look for other suppliers.
